I think (regular) key being slightly buffed and the Key that also draws on use being removed would ease the feeling of underpowerement of this character. The rare that applies damage equal to bleed is also extremely useless in most cases, completely outclassed by Splatter, and literally unpickable if you have no bleed.Skeleton Key is other rare that it's really, really weak for it's inmense 2 cost. Those being either removed or buffed would really help.It would also love some tiny buffs here and there, but that's all I can say from the top of my head
Ideally, I'd find it nice if the basic Key cost 0 by default and the upgrade was to grant it Unlockable.
This is because, unlike other unlock cards, Key doesn't provide any other effects. So it costing 1 energy before upgrading makes the early game awkward.
In addition to that, the various mass locking (Such as the rare that gives you Intangible) and random locking effects can lead to situations where all your Unlocking cards are themselves locked and thus unusable (Meaning, unless you have the power that unlocks a random card you can get screwed over)
Having that starting Key be able to become Unlockable can allow you to always be able to unlock cards.
