Might know what's got ya stopped.
It won't work in just singleplayer (most mods won't), you gotta boot up a multiplayer lobby (can make it private) and change the server executable from vanilla to Lua for Barotrauma - DedicatedServer and it should work then.

my braindead brain forgot to set the server from vanila to lua.
