The subjugation CBs, as far as I know, should last indefinitely. If they immediately go away, ill change the time to like 50 years or something.
I have so far only play 50 years, with most of the last 2 decades sitting around integrating subjects, and raising relation to get elected and for the mission Ioriellan Diplomacy.
I really like the mission tree so far, it is a good mix of the Lorent MT and a DLC MT.
So far the issue I have found are:
The elven part is overpower, +3 diplo relation is too much (I ended up at 15 diplo relation by 1446), and the reward of the second mission are too much considering how easy it is.
Completing the halfling part is similarly easy and reward way too much. It take only 2 wars against Gawed and 1 against Rubenaire (plus a bit of RNG for the halfling tolerance) to complete it interely. Crown Colony is one of the best vassal in the game, giving a lot of force limit, a merchant (so 3 in total with the mission reward) among other thing. Imo it should be a march.
If you form it with vassal feeding, it doesn't integrate the vassal if they have land outside of the Small Country.
Lastly it shouldn't give all the Small Country to the vassal. Lorent should keep Lorenan's Reach and Aelcandar as the 2 are extremely important to the kingdom.
The mission repopulate Venail can be done even without owning Venail
The mission about silk in Crovan's Rest change the trade good in the entire area.
Putting the colonial tree behind a requirement of having 50 ships might be a big ask.
I really like that the tree push you toward vassals, but I'm a bit surprise there is no mission that give diplomatic annexation cost.
Really cool tree, I can't wait to continue playing it.
I absolutely agree with you the redglades subtree is uh... overtuned. I'll be looking into either nerfing the modifiers, or increasing the requirements
I still believe I want the special subjects to be Crown Colonies, as originally I intended them to be PU's but ran into the issue of accidentally inheriting them. And I love the fact you can paint your beautiful red while still benefiting from the provinces. And I entirely forgot that colonies give a merchant after a certain amount of provinces, and will definitely be fixing that, and will be nerfing the modifier the Small March itself gets as well, or removing it entirely.
Not necessarily intended to be used to instantly annex vassals, but to combine all your land in Small Country into one subject.
And good point with Lorenans Reach and Aelcandar, I'll definitely be looking into keeping those for Lorent.
Oops. Youre definitely supposed to own venail xd
Ill be fixing that asap
That is intentional, and I'm planning on doing a Loc change. Only changing one trade good seems to me so incredibly... disappointing. However I may change some requirements, or nerf the other rewards.
That was just copied from Englands tree, and seems fairly fair to me given it lets you colonize without needing Exploration ideas. And it is most definitely not hard to complete by the time you unify Lencenor.
You are right! That is a modifier that should definitely be in there.
I hope you enjoy the rest of it, and please let me know if you find anything else off.
Another problem is that colonial subject force the capital to have the same culture of the overlord, so there is a random High Lorentish province in the Small Country
To give you an example, I feed Appleton and Viswall the Gawedi Small Country. When I completed the mission Appleton lost all its land to the new vassal, but Viswall had the one halfling province next to Uelaire (Westmere i believe) that didn't not become part of the Small Country.
I think changing the whole area to Silk is a bit too much, particularly with Lorent having an already good trades good setup. If you want an alternative, putting elf and half-helf along the entire coast is a really good subtitute.
For the ships, tbh I had the 2 firsts idea of exploration before I completed the mission so I couldn't test properly. It is not hard to be sure, but I was at double my naval force limit. I don't remember the mission giving a colonist so you can't colonize with it. I'm not sure you can actually explore Aelentir as going on ocean tile is a modifier different from being able to explore. But again, I coudln't test it.
I had a great time so far, and I'm sure the rest of the tree will be as good (and overpowerly broken xD).
The mission Expand the Rose Armada has broken requirement: it ask for a shipyard or grand shipyard in all of Lencenor but only count grand shipyard. And the second requirement (have 5 shipyard or grand shipyard) is a bit useless due to the first one.
Maybe make the mission for unified Lencenor remove it? Or potentially add a decision to do it once all vassals but Rubyhold and Redglades in the region are annexed
