Mod is not working
Please, follow these instructions to activate the mod:
  1. Subscribe to the mod on its workshop page
  2. Wait for installation to complete
  3. Launch the game
  4. Open the “mod center” in the game menu
  5. Activate “Yokaiste’s Sandbox Mod”
  6. Click “Apply” and agree to restart the game

Now you should see the mod title in the game menu.

To use all the features, you need to create a new deck with new divisions in Armory!

Compatibility with any other mod is not tested!

The game crashes when I open skirmish/multiplayer
Try to do that:
  1. Deactivate the mod in the mod center and agree to restart the game.
  2. Open skirmish/multiplayer.
  3. (for multiplayer) Create a lobby.
  4. Change starting points to any other value.
  5. Change required points to win to any other value.
  6. (optional) Change all other available settings to any other values.
  7. Go back to the main menu.
  8. Activate the mod and agree to restart the game.

How to check if the mod is updated?
You can hover the mouse cursor over the mod title in the game menu. The date should be the same or the day before as on the workshop page.

Game is laggy or randomly crashes
This mod doesn’t add any resource-intensive elements like 3D models. The mod won’t be a reason for a crash.


A new game patch just released?
Sometimes devs release very buggy and not stable patches; usually, they fix such problems the next week. In this case, we can’t do anything other than wait.


Did you add a lot of units or create a game with a lot of bots?
Since your PC likely can’t handle large battles, try these solutions:
  • Reduce the number of units in your decks (I don’t recommend exceeding your actual needs).
  • If you’re using more than one AI player, select fewer or reduce their difficulty.
  • Lower your graphics settings, particularly textures, to reduce memory usage.

My decks disappear after each update!
Unfortunately, this game logic is immutable and cannot be modified by mods. Disabling the mod might also cause this issue.
I recommend taking screenshots of your decks to facilitate their reassembly.

In some cases (minor game patches), you may be able to preserve your decks:
Before launching the game, ensure that the mod is updated for the latest game patch and that Steam has downloaded it first.

Installing on older versions of the game or outside the Steam Workshop
If you’re using older versions of the game (you can select them in the beta section of Steam properties), or if you’re unable to use the Steam Workshop, the YSM Installer can help you install the mod in one click.
