Why?
Because that would disbalance the gameplay with special taunts being able to kill. So it is better to just damage yourself than others in my opinion.

A special taunt already exists that can instant-kill members of the other team. Rock-Paper-Scissors - if the participants are members of different teams, the loser explodes.
Because loser is being sarcastic and explodes himself with a command "explode" in the console. Special taunts have no stats. Even when Valve added Shred Alert one they planned to give it stats, but then got rid of them.
except that rps actually instakills the loser unless both people are on the same team
