The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Passive Skill Trees (Repentance)
After a crash back to Square 1
Hey,
I had a PC crash and as i restarted the game i had a graphic bug, that made it unplayable. So i thought nothing much of it and started the game a new, just that i found out that all my progress was nuked and i started with 9 skill points. i had no Opportunity to choose the backup files, so i started multiple times the game and runs new, and i guess the progress is now completely lost.

Is there are way to recover the progress where i was quick? Because i have just finished finally the big skill tree, 3 Character skill trees etc. and it's very demoralizing, and annoying if not. Especially when this can happen again

If you have the backups addon, you can check if it created backups for your savefile by going to the "(isaac directory)/data/passive skill trees/" folder, then check if your savefile number has some backup files.
If it does, but the prompt isn't showing up in-game, you can try the following:
- Open the console with the tilde key `
- Run this command "l PST_BackupReplace(<savefile number>, <backup number>)" (for example, you'd do "l PST_BackupReplace(3, 2)" to load the second backup on the third savefile) - note that the backup with the largest filesize is likely the one with the most progress
- Afterwards, run "l PST.saveManager.Load(false)"
This should load the backup data into your savefile.

EDIT: I've re-read now and noticed that you started new runs multiple times after the data loss - this does mean that the original data has been lost irreversibly.
You can use some commands to regain progress such as "l PST:addXP(1000)" to add an amount of XP with the currently selected character, or "l PST:toggleDebugMode()" to be able to allocate any tree node regardless of SP/respecs.
