I started a new discussion to prevent this question from getting lost in the comment section.

Basically, in any map I start it in, these abominations don't start approaching until a line of sight is established. Even on maps with a nave mesh & node map. I could stand in some corner and never need to worry. Is there some way to have them track me down?
