Okay, hear me out here. Since muskets are often associated with the british empire, and scotland is part of It, why not a reference to "The British Grenadiers"? Since the battle which the lyrics refer to was a siege, a weapon based around team pushes paired with turn-based defense (helping your team in pushes, while also providing defense in fallbacks) would be good.

What if slower reload +something but you charge a meter (either time or damage) to shoot a bigger igniting powder boom
