regarding the writing on the skin
i dont get the writing, its most likely wrong

its says:
のために死匸
no tame ni shi(kei?)
if i didnt read it wrong (especially last kanji) i think it means: the hidden chamber(how i would interpret it) of death for the sake of ???

at the ??? there is supposed to be some noun or sth similiar else the sentence would be wrong and somehow its bugging me; correct me if im wrong

i though maybe some words like 義 (justice) fit in well

would look like that 義のために死匸
the hidden chamber of death for the sake of justice

anyways its a great skin, i hope it makes it into a case

The last two kanji are 死亡(しぼう), you can't really make out the top stroke of the last kanji from that angle. As for the translation I agree with your comments, feels like something is missing... maybe it's a quote?

we are here to improve the skin and to make it easier for the author, not to prove our language skills

'死亡' (Shibou) does mean 'death' or 'died', but the connotations involve a more factual, scientific 'death' as in, "23 victims died on the train crash" etc. This doesn't quite fit in with the feel of classic Japan, or poetic remarks. I would recommend words such as 死する (Shisuru), 亡き (Naki), or the likes. Please be careful when using them, because it'll often end up with sentences which makes no sense. If you understand Japanese or know someone who does, here's a Japanese Proverbs dictionary[kotowaza-allguide.com].

As well as my personal favourite for this: 花は桜木、人は武士[kotowaza-allguide.com] (Hana wa sakuragi, hito wa bushi), meaning just as sakura is considered the best/most beautiful flower (by the Japanese people), swordsmen (bushi/samurai) are considered the best of what people can be.
