Use flugerods and foul spawn as arrow/lance fodder by putting them in the front, and the grafted infantry or behemoths should be the 'core' of your armies.
Palesteed Knights (cap-only sacreds) are expensive, but very strong, especially with a powerful blessing.
Flesh Scrabblers and chariots are fast, so they are good for harassing archers and chasing routing enemies.
Of course, there can be balance tweaks if there's something in particular that seems too expensive. During my test games, resource costs were the main limiting factor for a lot of units, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
