XCOM 2
Odd S9: Season 9 Gameplay Collection
Accuracy questions
Hey guys, I'm a bit new to XCOM 2, and I kinda don't understand hit chances. In my first mission, I had 3 soldiers miss their overwatch shots on one target, in one turn, all three in a row with 80-90% hit chances. Afterwards, my soldiers miss at least two (sometimes more) 90%+ hits per mission. Just now I had a miss that had 95% hit chance(and I'm writing this while being butthurt, ngl). Is it supposed to be so?

Playing on normal difficulty, fresh install of the game with only mods from gameplay+cosmetic collection, no additional mods added. Graze Band size reduced to 5 (like in Odd's campaign configuration). Maybe there's something else to fix that I've missed?

Also while we're at it, is saw Odd speeding up enemy turn in his video, but it seemed not like editing but as a gameplay feature. If so, how?

That's XCOM, baby! Welcome to the meme.

You say you are a bit new. If you haven't done the vanilla campaign multiple times and worked your way up to legendary difficulty I don't think I would even recommend playing with ChrisOdd's mod pack. This thing radically changes the vanilla game.

However, that being said, that's XCOM, baby! I know, I'm repeating myself but it's the meme for a reason. In fact, I just missed a 95% chance to hit myself, today! It is going to happen a lot.

You use over watch and PRAY it lands hits, but do NOT rely on it for damage. You want your soldiers in full cover or hunkered down if they are likely to die due to bad positioning.

It is basically a "I'm in full cover, but can't really do anything else" sort of tool. Later on it can become more powerful, but it still is not a reliable way to fight the ayy's.
