Mod Paywalls and Time Off
First off, I'm going to talk about the huge issue of paying for mods.

I think it's disgusting. A person should not be forced to pay for a mod, especially with Steam taking a 75% cut. If a person likes what a mod does and want to support the creator, they should have an option to donate to the creator. Adding a paywall will destroy the community aspect of the workshop. Making a mod should be about making something that you're passionate about, something that will build your skills, a way to interact with the community, a gift to your peers if you will. This paywall has made it about money.

I refuse to add a paywall to any of my mods
Let it be said now: this is an idea I am totally opposed to. I think it's vile. I think Valve may have screwed up more than ever before with this move. I really do. I will never add any kind of paywall to any of my mods, and I implore you all to do the same.

Now, on to my recent time off. As you can see, this mod hasn't yet been updated. I've been having a tough time lately and was starting to feel the effects of the stress and pressure. I could see that it was having a detrimental effect on my health which is why I took an indefinite time off. I needed this, it's helped me clear my mind and relax a little. All work and no play makes for a dull creator.

I will continue to work on this mod when I get back to productivity. It's largely complete and it's worth noting that the next update will likely be the last. This is nothing to do with me abandoning the project, far from it, it's simply because I've almost completed all of what I set out to achieve with this mod. It's had a much larger subscriber base than I had originally imagined, and I've completed most of the features I wanted to fix or add to the mod.

This doesn't mean that work on the mod will stop. I will continue to fix bugs and make small changes. I might even improve some of the mods features as time goes on.

Thank you.

EDIT: Steam have reverted the mod paywalls. Good job, Valve, mature choice to listen to your users instead of ignoring them and hoping the problem will just go away. Maybe fill the blank space with a "donate" button?
