this mod specifically?
this mod is probably conflicting with one of your mods that you have on
ORRRR you just have too many mods on and you're loading into a map
temporary solution: only turn on mods you want to use and keep the ones you dont wanna use or not necesssary off
plus steam checks the files for mods, it's highly unlikely you get a virus from them
try turning every mod off and only turn this mod on, if it works then it was probably just a conflict with a mod
