Achievements?
Since this is just a UI mod, does it disable achievments or not?

All Beyond Earth mods disable achievements.

I wonder if this is true if you install it to the base game like I did without using the mod menu.

Well that stinks. It was nice how in 5 UI-only mods didn't affect them...

If you do this, you should be able to play with this mod and still get achievements. (I think you would do that by overwriting the game's original TechButtonInclude.lua with the mod's version, and then copying the .dds files into the game's assets/UI/Art folder)

No, UI mods in 5 also disabled achievements. All mods in Civ V disabled achievements.

I just put the Art folder into the Assets directory. >_> Works fine.

Just finished a Duel Map Domination game. I got three achievements with the mod installed to the base game, without using the mod menu. ^_^

I downloaded the file from civfanatics and added this mod to my base game by replacing the game's original TechButtonInclude.lua with the mod's version, and then copying the IconAtlas folder directly into the game's assets/UI/Art folder. It works great, no glitches, and I am now getting achievements! (I was not getting them when using the normal steamworks system). Thanks Glidergun, this is an awesome mod! If I was the game devs, I would purchase this from you and put it directly into the base game!

I play with the mod on till the last turn.Exit and reload the save without mod active and then got achievement after victory

Where are the mod files stored if you download them via Steam?

They're in [username folder]/Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth/MODS/Colorful Tech Web (v X)

Thank you. ^_^ I required this knowledge for future reference if I were to come uppon another mod of my liking. :) I only use UI and visual mods for most games so I feel that the achievement disabling is pointless.

The makers / steam must start making a distinction between UI changes and gameplay changes. Especially when they clearly didn't think through a lot of the basics on this. Fab mod but I'm racking up achievements before I install anything because of this.
