Defeating The Bosses - Useful Tips
Here you can find the attack patterns and useful information about both bosses on the Hades map. It will tell you which attacks to avoid and how to deal the best damage to both of them.

First Boss - The Great Dragon

Once you complete Asphodel you will be teleported to the first bossfight. There you will be greeted by a dragon which will repeat a series of attacks which you will have to dodge by using the pillars next to you.

Dealing Damage:

To deal damage to the boss you will have to shoot the 3 orbs floating around the boss arena. These work as transmitters to transfer your damage to the boss. Each of the orb does the same amount of damage but it varies from weapon to weapon. Be careful not to loose focus on his attacks while shooting as he can quickly blow a fatal strike to you.

Dodging Attacks:

The Aspodel boss has 4 distinct attacks which require you to be positioned correctly on the map to avoid damage.

  • Swing Attack: He initiates the attack by swinging his head to his right. After this he takes a huge swing over the lower part of the map dealing massive damage to any player near enough to the ground level. The final damage depends on how far you were from him when the attack hit. Walk up one of the 2 towers to dodge this attack.
  • Stomach Smash: He initiates the attack by shaking his back and then smashing it into the ground. This causes multiple meteor like rocks to rise to the sky and then fly to the ground. Once they start falling a small indicator on the ground will show up. Once they reach the ground they explode and deal a medium amount of damage.
  • Slam Attack: He initiates the attack by leaping his front body in the air. Once he reaches the ground again a straight line of explosions will appear which deals massive damage to any player in its area. You can easily dodge this attack by staying away from the center of the map but beware. Once he hits the ground, 2 rocks will be flung up and, just like in the Stomache Smash, deal damage once reaching the ground.
  • Scream Attack: He initiates the attack by leaping his front body in the air and letting out a massive scream. This will immediatly pull (pushing when his health is low) the players to or away from him by a large distance and deals a small amount of damage. You cannot dodge this but try to avoid the 2 high ground pillars as the attack will pull you in the death zone.
