🛠 Complete Wonder Weapon Guide💫
Hades Map: Wonder Weapon Swords Guide

Welcome to the ultimate guide on how to unlock and build the Wonder Weapon swords on the Hades zombie escape map! If you're ready to grab some epic swords and clear out hordes of zombies, you've come to the right place. This guide will walk you through how to access the Wonder Weapon quests, how to complete them, and what each sword does. Don’t worry, we’ll keep it simple—so you can get back to slaying zombies in no time.

Accessing the Wonder Weapon Area

First things first, the Wonder Weapon quests can be accessed from Tartarus (and also via portals from Asphodel and Elysium). The portals are glowing orange-red and are easy to spot. Once you enter this area, you're in a small circle room with four icon spots—this is where you'll complete your quests.

Important! You can’t leave the Wonder Weapon area unless you use the portal, which will take you back to the same map section you came from. So, if you enter from Tartarus, you go back to Tartarus. If you enter from Asphodel, you go back to Asphodel, and so on.

At the small rune circle next to the large stone circle, you’ll randomly be assigned a Wonder Weapon quest. The order is random, so don’t worry about fighting over which sword you want—just talk it out with your team, and work together to complete the quests. Plus, this way, no more yelling "I called dibs on the fire sword!"—it’s all up to luck here.

Once you finish the quest, a small icon will appear at the larger stone circle showing your completed sword. You can pick up the Wonder Weapon sword from here. If multiple swords are finished, it’s still random which one you grab, so you might have to cycle through to get the one you want.

The Wonder Weapon Quests

So, let’s dive into what each Wonder Weapon quest requires. Remember, the quests can be done in any order, but you’ll need to complete each one in the area it’s tied to before moving on to another area (since some areas block you from returning once you leave).

Fire Sword

To unlock the Fire Sword, you need to kill 45 zombies that are on fire. But not just any fire—these zombies need to be set ablaze by the fire-spitting lion heads in Asphodel. When the zombies walk through the fire, they’ll start burning, and then you can start killing them. But watch out! These fire zombies explode when killed, so don’t get too close unless you’re trying to blow yourself up.

Pro Tip: Use Ph.D. Flopper if you plan on taking out fire zombies up close. It protects you from explosive damage, so you don’t end up as zombie BBQ.

Soul Sword (aka Ghost Sword)

For the Soul Sword, your task is to turn 10 zombies into allies. To do this, you'll need the Turned Pack-a-Punch attachment on your weapon. Once you start turning zombies, your quest is basically done. Easy peasy.

Note: The Turned zombies will fight for you, so let them do the work while you sit back and watch the chaos unfold.

Lightning Sword

The Lightning Sword is unlocked by killing 20 zombies using the Lightning Trap. You can find these traps in Tartarus near the ritual area (back section of the map) and in Asphodel right at the spawn. The traps look like two giant rocks with lightning bolts shooting between them. Activate the trap, lure zombies into the lightning, and zap them until you’ve filled up the kill count.

Tip: Don’t stand in the lightning—unless you want to get fried yourself.

Wind Sword

For the Wind Sword, things get a little tricky. You need to kill zombies while getting slowed down with each kill. The more zombies you kill, the slower you get, but it doesn’t stack—so you won’t keep getting slower, it just lasts longer. Keep moving and don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by the horde.

Tip: If you’re getting too slow, use a fast-firing weapon to keep thinning the herd without getting cornered.

Once you kill 35 zombies you are done.

Wonder Weapon Sword Effects

Now, let’s talk about why these swords are worth all the trouble. Each sword has both active and passive effects that make them super powerful.

Fire Sword Effects

Active: When you hit a zombie, it spawns a magma pillar that burns nearby zombies, similar to the ice staff from Origins. Anything caught in the fire dies instantly.
Passive: If you get hit by a zombie, the zombie catches on fire and dies. So yeah, it’s pretty simple: if something hits you, it burns.

Wind Sword Effects

Active: Hit a zombie, and an invisible blade will spawn, slicing through nearby zombies. It’s like a ninja sword for zombies—pretty deadly.
Passive: When you get hit, you’ll get a speed boost for a few seconds. Great for escaping sticky situations when you're swarmed.

Soul Sword Effects

Active: Hitting a zombie causes a wave of Turned zombies to spawn, and they’ll wreck anything in their path. Think of it like the Turned Pack-a-Punch, but on steroids. The zombies that turn will start killing others for you, up to a max of three Turned zombies at a time.
Passive: If a zombie hits you, it gets slowed down to 20% of its speed. That means you’ve got some time to figure out your next move or just enjoy watching it crawl in slow motion.

Lightning Sword Effects

Active: When you hit a zombie, it triggers a huge lightning explosion around you, killing all zombies in the blast radius. It’s so powerful, it even shakes your camera a bit. Everything nearby is fried.
Passive: If a zombie hits you, a lightning arc zaps between zombies, killing up to three of them at once. It’s like a chain reaction of death—super overpowered.
Final Thoughts & Tips

Complete the sword quests before you leave certain areas! Once you leave Tartarus or Asphodel, you might lock yourself out of certain swords, especially the fire and lightning ones.
Ph.D. Flopper is a must-have for dealing with the fire zombies in Asphodel. You don’t want to be the guy who blows himself up while completing the Fire Sword quest.
Work together when assigning Wonder Weapon quests. Since the order is random, coordinate with your team to make sure everyone gets a shot at the sword they want.
Remember that the Wonder Weapons have a timeout, not a kill count. So once you activate the special effects, they’ll need some cooldown time before you can use them again.
That’s it for the Wonder Weapon guide! Now get out there, smash some zombies, and wield those swords like the gods of the underworld!
