New Location.
Ucomplex scares me.

It auto sets you to 10 hp, aside from a few triggers there is no ambiance, it doesn't feel claustrophobic, the map geometry makes sense, doors and hallways lead where you'd logically think they'd go. [you see an actual person], and someone or something is watching/found us.

There are syringes of glowing pink, which makes me think this hospital (whose name is in reference to the moon) might not be the bastion of safety many would think it to be.

This map has two routes. One goes to Whitecomplex and the other to Voidplaces.

Unlike with Whitecorridors, you cannot return to Ucomplex.

It's very likely Whitecorridors and Ucomplex are smaller maps that p'nk black can put out quickly while they work on the larger projects, but I'm still very intrigued by these inter-maps which can only been seen through Gmod itself and not the workshop.

There is still more yet to discover about the pink scorched Earth we've found ourselves on.

I believe the 10hp thing is a glitch to do with the flashlight (at least from what I’ve heard from other people I’m using an addon for a light so I haven’t seen it myself.

It is an interesting location tho, I find it unsettling but pretty. Hard to know how much of that is due to me finding hospitals unnerving tho.

I’m very curious about the substance in the pink syringe and what’s it’s used for, maybe this was a hospital that was abandoned as the sun followers were using it to convert people into one of them with the pink substance.

The 10hp thing isn't a glitch; there is a logic_playerproxy in the map that sets the player's health to 10 at periodic intervals for whatever reason.

Beyond that, I've figured out what the "otherside" map is for; it seems to be intended as a "failure" condition if you fall down any of the death pits that are present on voidplaces or pinkplaces. Before this update, these areas had death triggers in them that would kill you.

Since there's no way in Gmod to force the player to have to reload a save after death, even though these maps fully support the vanilla save/load system since they use and work with level transitions, I expect he put this in as a "failure" state.


From what I've been able to discern there is no exit on this map, so it's intended as a "bad end".

Wait, it’s not connected to the default source flashlight.

Now I’m confused why I’ve never seen the 10hp thing.

The failure state thing makes sense although I can’t help but feel there’s more to this place than just being the bad end. Although that might just be my theory loving brain.

It may be connected to the flashlight, I never looked into it that far. I just know that sometimes an input from a logic_playerproxy will set my health to 10. I didn't actually find what tells the logic_playerproxy to set my health that way.

I've explored uncomplex a lot and never encountered the 10hp thing. I even disabled most of my mods and went through with full hp.

I’ve never seen it either, seems odd that some people have experienced it a lot and some people never get it. Gmod can be weird.

What on Earth is the thing with the pink eyes??
I went through the door to the static room, and then pink eyes started flashing everywhere with someone laughing hysterically and saying that it was watching me. After I exited the room at the other end, there was a male voice laughing ominously and then audible coughing in the courtyard beyond. Very creepy. I’ve heard coughing in other rooms in this map as well.

That’s Pandora, she likes her evil laughs, she’s just like that sometimes.

The entity is the concrete entity in the previous map that's seen sitting and eventually starts watching the player, then it becomes more aggressive over time as if its trying to keep us away from something.

Also it seems like the shadow man now canonically T-poses when he's supposed to be sitting down

Probably a bug, maybe.

I disabled all my mods just to make sure it isn't an issue on my end and it still happened.
Also, disabling all my mods except the void maps caused my hp to go to 10 when I turned on my flashlight. I remember people mentioning that before...
