Loot Balance Table & Feedback
Feel free to give feedback about the balance. It is a finicky business, but more opinions on how it feels are always welcome.

Below is a table with an approximation of rarity for the different group of items added to loot distribution.

RNG is a fickle creature and as such take this with a grain of salt.

There are odds for the container to spawn the list of items and for the items themselves to spawn within the list, so two rolls have to be successful with rare odds in some of these cases.

Hi! I'm having serious trouble finding any heavy-duty parts at all! The game only gives me sport and standard parts. Heavy-duty suspensions and brakes are not an issue, but I haven't seen any wheels nor bumpers in ages.

Hi Gleeby. Thanks for the feedback. What do you mean with heavy-duty parts though?

Bumpers are only categorized between "Stock", "Custom", "Performance, "Offroad" and "Police".

By heavy-duty wheels do you mean the "Offroad" and/or "Commercial" wheels introduced by Filibuster?

No, I mean vanilla wheels. Specifically performance type heavy-duty are quite hard to come by. And as for bumpers, none of those categories spawn for heavy-duty vehicles.

What do you mean by heavy-duty vehicles? Type 2? Vanilla wheels have the same chance to spawn as before, higher in fact than Filibuster's items.

The vehicle type. You have different classes: standard, sport, heavy-duty, Filibuster's also adds commercial. Somehow I've started seeing a few more wheels than usual today. Have you updated the mod before?
Jacques the Crab  [developer] 17 Dec, 2024 @ 5:04am
That's what I meant with type 2, that's how they're classified in the game.

Either way, I believe you're just being victim to RNG. Sometimes you don't find things, other times you do. I haven't updated the mod recently.

Yeah, I figured. Been playing with the mod enabled again for a while longer, I'm finding wheels without issue again. It was probably more than just RNG, because I've gone 25 in-game days with literally zero heavy-duty wheels anywhere.

Could you look into the bumpers though? As I said, I'm finding standards and sports, both regular and performance, but nothing heavy-duty.

Good catch about the bumpers. I've just double-checked the files line by line and there is a typo ovewriting one ProcList for bumpers type 2 with bumpers type 3. It isn't the only place where bumpers can spawn but it is relevant.

Unfortunately, I don't have my computer with me right now and can't update the mod until later this year. What you can do in the meantime, if you're willing, is correct it manually yourself. When I update the mod later this year it won't make a difference to your game as it will already have the correction.

The file you need to correct is called z-LD_newProceduralDistributions.lua, located in "(steamlibrary)\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3335624970\mods\LootDistributionFRUC\media\lua\server\Items".

You just need to correct one thing. In the line 326, where it says "ProceduralDistributions.list.MechanicShelfBumpers2FR" it should say "ProceduralDistributions.list.MechanicShelfBumpers3FR".

This way you'll have three ProcDistrLists for MechanicShelfBumpers: type 1, 2 and 3.

Sorry for the late finding but it's been a while since I've looked at this.

P.S: You can use something like notepad++ to quickly check the line you need to change.

That was a rather easy fix. Thanks a lot for helping out!
