Happiness plays a role
Spoiler answer
The game randomly checks every hour if there is a colonist with inspired.
(The buff that is given when a colonist hits 100 happiness.)
If it is a character with a secret trait, their special event happens.
If that character is not a secret character, there is a list of "generic" events that occur
Note that as I expand this "system" it will not just be limited to happiness
But also check for:
- Total skill level
- Hyper-focusing on specific <thing> (Chopping 200+ trees, killing/taming X creatures, etc...)
- Completing specific researches
- etc....
It's got some space on my planning miro storyboard.
It is a very rare and one time inspiration given trait fyi.
It should enables the triggering of a mini story/expedition, with the outcome changing that trait to <something else I don't want to spoil>
Let me fix that so it's one-time and also create some code that will remove all but one "What have we done" trait from colonists (Letting you re-roll on the inspiration thing again for the colonists who have the trait removed)
I have not finished the expedition and gotten it into an update, once the bugs die down I will re-focus on extending the content
I would rather see the content that's here be relatively bug free before I start adding stuff
(That may be reliant on broken systems to function)
As of right now, it seems that PX based bugs are settling down.
So I've got to just squash the Insects Level Up Bugs
And after that (as long as no new bugs start being found/reported)
I will get to work on implementing:
- The Galactic Empire learning a lot of colonies resort to... lawlessness!
(Insert High SocietyGasp)
- Zancer's doing their best Tribble impression, and giving ways for your colony to learn "why" the animals of this planet all have the same organs
