As for books, it’s frustrating that pawns either read them randomly or require manual orders every time. I suggest linking book reading to the research projects assigned to each pawn, so a pawn will only read books that are related to a specific research task defined by the player.
This could also help reduce errors that sometimes occur in the book creation process.
For example: if Pawn 1 is assigned to create a knowledge book, and after it finishes Pawn 2 comes along, it would be better to have Pawn 2 read the book resulting from the original task description, instead of picking a book by name. I’ve noticed that sometimes the produced book titles don’t exactly match the project or description.
An additional suggestion is to ensure that the research name shown in the pawn’s research list is directly tied to the description or result of the book creation task, so that what the pawn learns is always correctly recorded and linked. This could help minimize inconsistencies.
Apologies if anything I said came off the wrong way. I'm not a programmer and I have no experience in modding, but I really enjoy this mod and just wanted to share an idea that might help.
