How do i choose which faction to support in the american civil war?
Apart from trump or biden i can't see another play to play as the patriot front etc without tag switching. Is tag switching the only way?

In the leadup to the civilwar youll get an event to choose which faction you'll take over. Even comes with a warning about playing the atomwhatevers

in my run it only at one point said "you'll play as the constitutional government" and I was like "...ok? Will the actual selection happen later?".

It didn't.

Just check the tooltips on the options of the event that fires after the "State of the Union" focus.
For the constituional government, side with Trump. For everything else, side with Biden.

if you support Trump there's only USC if you support Biden there's an event that says all of this options: For Democracy for USB our plans are complete Attomwaffen, Fascist message Patriot Front a Nazi one to NSM and a communist for APLA
