0 = Clouds
1 = Visibility

0 = Name of the character
1 = New rank


CHARACTER_NEED_SHIFT_REPLACEMENT: "Need replacement in the {0}"
0 = Shift the character was part of

Character Promotion and Shift Replacement text is not translated for English. Without the context, I also cannot figure out what the two parameters are intended to be.

The mod has the number "3363327068" so it should be in your directory where the workshop folders for Uboat are located.

I have a folder workshop\content\494840, but I don't have 3363327068, all I have is - 3344706885

If you subscribed to this mod, there has to be a folder 3363327068 or your workshop content is somewhere else. Steam creates folder based on workshop ids and 3363327068 is the id of this mod

Yes, I found this file, and what should I do there?? I have these 2 files, how can I make them into Russian?

So if you are in the folder where the en.yaml and de.yaml are, create a new file called custom.yaml
Copy the entire content from either en.yaml or de.yaml (depending on whats easier for you) then you can edit the text fields. Important note: you need to keep the amount of parameters the same. If a text has 5 { } parameters, you need to keep all 5 in your text as well.
After that, save the file and select Custom language in the mod settings on the cover page ingame

Fonts look to be hardcoded. Is this a true statement? If so, how much pain would it be to allow this to be set per user as well? The handwriting font used makes many numbers hard to read. For example, two "1" next to each other look like an H... which makes little sense, but that's what you see.

Font per user is pretty unlikely because aside from the implementation, it may break formatting of entries or titles texts.

I think we can offer a fallback font that is easier to read. Maybe the font from the career selection screen?

Looking at it again, I think it's mostly the bolded times that are causing issue. The non-bold lettering looks fine after a second look though. I used to use Caveat from Google Docs for my own home-brewed KTBs, and it seemed clear enough, but whatever you choose, I'll adapt to. ;)

Здравствуйте с переводом на русский язык у меня не получилось! Жаль задумка с бортовым журналом это классно, но что есть то есть. Hallo, mit der Übersetzung ins Russische habe ich es nicht geschafft! Es ist schade, dass die Idee mit dem Logbuch cool ist, aber was ist das?

If I understand correctly, there is no way (not specified in the mod) to the Russian font. Is it possible to find out how English and German fonts are pulled up in this amazing mod? Maybe then it will be clear how to pull up Russian and others?

i dont know exactly, but my guess is that a cyrillic font needs to be loaded. so far only latin letters are used. thats a code wise change, maybe wingz will add this. idk.

Windows has Cyrillic. But how to make the military diary see it? :) There are at least two Latin fonts in the diary....
