Complete Walkthrough
Complete the Library Chamber Trial
  • Note the bookshelves on each wall
  • Note the grid of tiles behind the bookshelves
  • Note the bolts holding the bookshelves in place
  • Remove the bolts and move the bookshelves out of the way
  • Note the center metal grid and tiles
  • Note the tiles that cannot be removed
  • Place the tiles in the correct position indicated by the fixed ones in relation to the ones on the walls
  • White + White = White; Black + Black = White; White + Black = Black
  • Note the stone altar and the small compartment on its side
  • Grab the book inside the compartment
  • Note the relation between the symbols in the book and the ones on the stone rods
  • Solving the math equations will give you the position of each rod
  • Top line of each rod represents the number 1

Complete the Alchemy Chamber Trial
  • Note the round stone table in the middle of the chamber
  • Note the table on the left
  • Note the shelves on the right
  • Grab the hammer from the hidden corridor in the Illusion chamber
  • Break the glass domes enclosing the water blob and cinnabar ore
  • Interact with the water blob
  • Grab the phoenix feather
  • Grab the pestle from the shelves
  • Place the cinnabar ore inside the mortar and grind it using the pestle
  • Grab the mortar
  • Note the lock of the metal box on the shelves
  • The round table has the solution on it
  • The sequence is the small symbols on the table in clockwise order, starting from the marked one on the lock
  • Grab the aqua vitae from inside the box
  • Grab the book on the shelves
  • Place the feather, mortar, and bottle on the table in the correct slots
  • Grab the philosopher stone shard
  • Note the stone altar
  • Note the three rotating vessels
  • Note the indents with symbols in them
  • Place the stone shard in each indent
  • Grab all 12 weights scattered around the chamber
  • Place the correct number of weights on each vessel
  • There are three shapes on top of each vessel
  • The number of times the shard blinks for each shape indicates the number of weights
  • From left to right, place the following number of weights on the vessels: 4 5 3

Complete the Illusion Chamber Trial
  • Note the stone block on the right wall
  • Light up all of the blocks
  • Use this sequence, from left to right: 1 9 5 2 6 10 7
  • Inspect the center pillar
  • Note the symbols on the mirrors
  • Note the reflections
  • Walk through the left wall
  • Note the stone chest and pedestal at the end of the corridor
  • Grab all of the tiles inside the stone chest
  • Place each tile in the slot on the pedestal
  • Note the lights on the pedestal
  • Each tile represents a number indicated by the lights
  • Note the dials on the stone altar
  • Use the hints on the mirrors to set the dials in the correct position
  • Note the red symbols next to each dial
  • They indicate the dial order
  • Note the symbols on the mirror are mirrored
  • The hint shows a symbol found on a tile and a symbol found on the dials
  • The tile indicates which dial should be set to which symbol

Complete the Time Chamber Trial
  • Note the chest on the right
  • Note the light in the middle of the chamber
  • Note the symbol on the wall above the altar
  • Shine the light on it, it will disappear and another one will appear somewhere else in the room
  • Repeat until you get all five symbols
  • All other chambers need to be completed to continue
  • Note the pedestals on the left
  • Grab the golden jackal from inside the chest
  • Grab the clock from the table in the Alchemy chamber
  • Grab the hammer from the hidden corridor in the Illusion chamber
  • Grab the philosopher stone shard, from the Alchemy Chamber, after completing the transmutation puzzle
  • Grab the codex, from the Library Chamber, after completing the tile grid puzzle
  • Grab the book, from the Alchemy Chamber shelves, after completing the transmutation puzzle
  • Place all of the collected items on their pedestals
  • Set all six clocks to the correct time
  • Note the plaque on each pedestal
  • Note the year and symbol on each plaque
  • Match the symbol on the plaque with the symbol on the clock
  • Use the year as the time for the clock

Return Home
  • Wait for the lava to reach the center pedestal
  • Touch the glass case protecting the book
  • Take the book
