Why is the effect tilted on pyro?
If you are wondering why the effect on pyro is tilted, that is because in order to lock the orientation of the particle system I have to attach it to a special control point. That control point has a different tilt for every class (most extreme on pyro) and not possible for me to change. This can be seen on some effects already in game, like circling heart.

circling heart was made by valve, it will probably wont be accepted since pyro was hardcoded, and most of the time unusual effect look misplaced on him

Pyros hitbox is hardcoded
And it's been like this since the games release

why valve just... fix it? remember what happened to scout pants?

Aren't a lot of hats also tilted in the same way? If you load the Pyro-specific model of an all-class hat (without being attached to Pyro's player model), the model is always a little titled than the rest of the mercs. Usually this is fixed by how the creator positioned the model, but in some cases, Pyro's variant is titled in compared to the rest of the gang.

The problem is that in the case of hats, each one is its own model which can be oriented any way you like. But there is only one particle system for an unusual effect that gets copied to all classes. So if I move it for pyro it moves for all others too.
