(Unmarked Spoilers) Guide/Suggestions
The presence of Tu-95RT's in mission area will reveal the presence of your task force immediately.
All of the enemy missiles are either air launched AS-2's or surface launched SS-N-3's, all high altitude stuff that can be engaged at long range.
There are four submarines.
There are five surface groups.
There are two fighter groups and three bomber groups.
Most enemy surface groups will head up the default path of the ASW group and Assault group. The remainder will hang around the objective area.
You only need three assault ships to survive.
Terrier has a longer range than SA-N-1 and in the context of surface engagements can run out to the horizon. Even RIM-66A used by the DDG's can shoot further than SA-N-1.
Going in for guns against a Soviet cruiser is a bad idea.
There are SA-5 sites inland to prevent aircraft straying too far out of bounds.
Harpoon is out of time frame but you don't have to feel bad using them if you feel like you need to.
There are no SA-N-3 ships or SS-N-2 ships, if you can fire Terrier at them they can't really hurt you.
