2. shoots and reloads like stock double-barreled shotguns from a scout.
3. every 10% of lost health increases damage by 10% damage

4. random crittical are disabled when health is lost by 20%
Level ??? Double Barrel Pump Action Shotgun
+20% Bullets per shot
+20% faster firing speed
Weapon inflicts knockback on user and target
Weapon reloads entire clip at once
Bullets have a wide, horizontal spread
-25% damage penalty
-20% holster speed
-66% clip size
with most weapons being modifications of stock here's my idea:
(we'll call this the special attribute area)
+100% more pellets per shot to represent both barrels shooting at once
with
-50% clip capacity, the design still looks tube fed but well just say it loads 2 shells at once
or
+100% faster firing speed for 2 shots afterwards requiring a pump animation (idk if its possible)
with
unchanged clip capacity
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(normal stats)
-25% pellet spread, the barrels seem longer than stock but that might just be me (could probably adjust value) (also i forgot if - was tighter or bigger spread but i'm going for tighter spread as longer barrels bring the pellets together if i remember correctly)
-33% damage penalty, the extra pellets (or extra shot if the second path) should hopefully bring it around stock damage or more depending on distance/human accuracy. (this value could definitely be adjusted to fit closer to stock and maybe slightly more on full pellet hit but not too much were its vastly better than stock)
around -60% ammo capacity, to have less ammo overall so you cant spam it as much you really have to make your shots count (this can also be adjusted but id say around 1 full clip with 4 reserve clips should be an ok amount of ammo)
with this it could probably be a more accuracy dependent shotgun with the reward of more damage if you hit your shots. im new to making stats so im kinda just throwing ♥♥♥♥ at the wall here.
PROS:
-100% firing speed
pressing MOUSE1 fires left barrel.
pressing MOUSE2 fires right barrel.
deals knockback to user and target (although not very much when firing one at a time)
+20% damage bonus
CONS:
-66% clip size
+33% bullet spread (20 hammer units away from target:1 hammer unit of spread on target)
shots are fired using separate triggers
+25% reload time
"you can always tell a Texan, but you can't tell him much." -Dell Conagher, realizing that two barrels are, most of the time, NOT shot at the same time.
Fires a projectile
Alt-Fire: fire all shots in the clip at once
Shots mini-crit on buring players.
Downsides:
2 shots in the clips.
25% slower reload speed.
No RNG crits.
