Nicknames!
For the upcoming update (Beta 0.3.5), characters who are the children of any of the Lord Paramounts, or a King/Queen (including Kings of the individual kingdoms in a shattered world, or an independent Dorne), will have a 10% chance to gain a nickname at birth, reflecting their birth season. I plan on adding in a game rule at the next major update for who is eligible to gain the nickname, and how frequent. It won't be added in the next update, since adding a new game rule could cause issues with existing save files, and I try to space out potentially save-breaking updates a bit (I would also like to have the storms up and running), or at least correlate it with the main mod updates. The game rule options will include :

Eligibility :

- Iron Throne children only

- Iron Throne & Lord Paramount (default)

- All High Lords (duke or above. Count and above could cause performance issues)

Frequency : *

- Very Rare (1%)

- Rare (5%)

- Normal (10%) (default)

- Common (20%)

- Frequent (35%)

- Excessive (50%)

*These may change depending on player feedback or adjustments later on.

As this will modify the AGOT Modified child_birth_on_actions file, it may have compatability issues with other mods that modify that file. However, the rest of the mod will function as normal without it, it just won't have nicknames if you load the other mod after Seasons. Making a compatch would be very simple, as it only changes 1 line in the script, only adding the season_flavor_events.00015 event to line 386 after the dragon egg cradling event. But, most other submods don't seem to touch that file.

The possible nicknames are :

'the Spring Prince / Princess' (for royal born children)
'the Spring Child' (for non royals)
'the Prince / Princess of Blossoms'
'the Child of Blossoms'

'the Sweet Summer Child' (all)
'the Midsummer Prince / Princess' (Royal Only)
'the Midsummer Dreamer' (All)
'the Solsticeborn'
'the Sunborn'

'the Autumn Prince / Princess'
'the Autumn Child'
'the Autumnborn'
'the Stormchild / Stormborn' (Stormlands & Dragonstone only)

'the Winter Child'
'the Winter Rose' (North only & Reach)
'the Blue Rose' (North only)
'the Frostborn'

More variants are planned so there's some more variety, but most are yet to be determined, as well as more specific regional ones.

[/b]Storms [/b]

Storms are still on the way, they are delayed because I was overthinking them and wanted flavor events first, but I'd rather have the basic mechanic implemented. As in the 1st Dev Diary, Storms will be based on the Epidemic Mechanic, and spread as a disease, but much quicker than a disease, and go away faster, more in line with a storm. When the Storm hits your domain, you'll have a chance (especially if travelling) to get caught in the Storm, where you'll be at risk of getting ill and having small health debuffs. Eventually once flavor events are established, being caught in a storm can lead to small flavor events or increased risks. As storms are not a disease, they will be set to essentially ignore plague resistance, but the chance of being caught in a storm will remain lower than catching a disease would (as you could just stay inside your keep during a storm). There is currently no specific time frame for storms being released, but somewhere between a week and 3 months. Storms will occur in the Stormlands (and later Riverlands for Floods, and Stepstones for Hurricanes additionally), and sometimes Dragonstone / Blackwater Bay & Gullet area, for the time being. Storms will be able to be disabled by Game Rule, incase people do not want them.

Flavor
More Flavor events are still also on the way, but delayed because they're arguably harder to make, as I have to write a lot of localization and enough that it is noticable, without it being repetitive, and impactful enough to be fun but not over the top. So I have not been prioritizing them as much as I have been trying to fix small bugs and errors.
