House in Eggman Land
The HOI IV and GoonMod brainrot meet in the thrilling political and world invasion thriller [see the name], inspired by hit alternative history works like Andre Maux's "The Knife in the Letter," following an ambitious and brilliant but initially severely misguided radical-centrist: "Doctor Ivo Robotnik," going by "Doctor Eggman," who finally, after decades of being beaten into the ground every time by his arch-nemesis "Sonic the Hedgehog" and his tuti-fruti bank of friends, is able to take over the world with the treacherous help of a new acquired adversary simply referred to as "Infinite," after the good Doctor was kicked back into action after severe months of blue by his encounter with a mysterious power seemingly out of this world, the "Phantom Ruby," that becomes one with the broken Infinite after his newfound family in "Jackal Squad" is utterly taken out in a careless raid by the legendary G.U.N. dispatch, "Shadow the Hedgehog," making Infinite prime real estate to wield the Infinite power of the Ruby.
The story moves in phases, or blocks, with each one detailing the Doctor's removal of Sonic from the chessboard, his conquest of the world, Infinite's mysterious betrayals as he lets the Rebellion keep clinging on to life, their many encounters with a rouge's gallery of familiar faces both from the past and the future "IDW" comics series, Shadow's burgeoning moral dilemma, and the Doctor's increasing lack of restraint, culminating in his destruction of the loyal TRIBOT in the midst of a maneuver by him to restore their fallen popularity that could've saved his Empire and its many collaborators, accompanied all the way by a thrilling story of war drawing from Transformers and alternate history stories such as "World in Conflict," with the war eventually turning out to be but a sham orchestrated by an even greater, darker evil who sought to bring the world to its knees before he could return, and have his way with the war-torn, reconstructing remains.
The story has found wild success, both among followers of Sonic the Hedgehog and his rich, vibrant world, as well as new or simply curious onlookers, legitimizing the creativity of such an alive community already having produced fan-game after fan-game in the vein of "Robo-Blast 2" or inspired ones like "Freedom Planet" or "Spark the Electric Jester," without a doubt another memorable piece for such a gallery.
