Bug Reports
I'm setting up a bug report thread, since I know I may end up needing it especially after the upcoming update is released.

Please post here if something unintended happens while playing the mod. If the game crashes, it would help if you can share your crash log somehow. (It should be in Documents > Klei > DoNotStarveTogether. "client_log" for no caves and "master_server_log" for caves)

Please note that I cant guarantee that all mods will work together.

When I make Ice Quixote, the game freezes and won't proceed. I don't know if it's a mod server crash. We are using the Don't Starve: Dehydrated // Tropical Experience // uncompromise mod on our server.

It does seem like this might be a mod related crash. I may try to test the mods myself later, but let me know if you can recreate this freeze without mods enabled.

Hello, Upon loading into the server, I cannot use the Dashing Strike on the normal Quixote. Warrick just spins his sword and says "impossible!" before standing still and not attacking. Resetting the world used to fix it, but ive done that 4 times now, and it's still happening.

oops, I didn’t see this post before I replied to the other one! Is this the only mod you have in your server?

Hello, thanks for the quick reply- I'll only post on this thread from now on as I didn't see it before posting on the main one.

This is not the only mod, but with further investigation i've figured some things out.

If I roll back the server a day from either the ESC menu or server menu and spawn in, I cannot do the dashing strike as he spins his sword and then says "impossible" standing still, without attacking. I do not have the other (fire, ice, lunar etc) special skills unlocked yet, but do all of the ones in Heroics besides the horn, and the top left 4 in swordsmanship. I used console commands to try the fire Quixote with Dashing Strike, but it has the exact same behavior.

Some things I tried to fix: Dying and picking it back up, swapping the sword with an axe/torch many times, getting my friend to try to pick it up, attacking normally then the special, and it all has the same behavior of saying impossible on the dashing strike.

How to fix: Reset the server without rolling back. It specifically only happens when rolling back and persists the entire time (tried things for in-game days to no avail) until I do a normal non-rollback reset. After that I spawn in and it works as intended immediately.

But when I went down (using Warrick), the server simply crashed. We re-entered and tested again. It only happened when he was already in the cave. I don't know if this could be involved, but he was playing the character Flaire. Unfortunately, I don't have the crash screen. Because we were using the mod (Insight Show Me+) and he just reported the crash for (unknown reason). No report screen. Just asking to leave the world. Any idea what happened?

If there are any grammar or writing errors, I'm terrible at English :^/

We found a crash with one of our players on our dedicated server where the server crashes when he crafted the Ice Version of his sword, it may also crash for other swords we have not tested yet.

Server crashes when I boot it up. I am invisible, eyebone is floating. Only has happened when I had the eyebone in my inventory somewhere upon disconnecting, but that could be a coincidence because I tend to carry it everywhere. I have Warrick, mod skins and gem APIs, infinite thermal stone durability, Winterlands, and Uncompromising Mode installed. The crash has also happened on a different world that did not have Winterlands installed, so I think it's unrelated to that mod. It is a repeatable bug, but not a terribly consistent one. Sorts itself out if I rollback.
I'm not sure if I got the right document, but I went into the world folder through DST, and from there found a document in the Master folder labelled server_log, so I think it's correct? but the document is really, really long, and I can't fit it all here, so I would need to know which part of it specifically is important for understanding the crash

Alright, I looked through the files as best as I could. I didn't see a file labelled master_server_log, but there were a number of files labelled as server logs. basically, there's 2 folders, one labelled caves, one labelled master. In each folder, theres a couple different files, one labelled server_log. Also, 2 folders, one of which is labelled backups, and in the backups folder, there's a bunch of files labelled server_log, followed by a date and time. This is the same across botht the caves and master folders. I looked through the server_log that didn't have a date in the Master folder, using the search function to look for the word "error". There were no errors related to Warrick, just a bunch about not being able to find animation files for things in the Uncompromising Mode mod. In further testing, the crash hasn't happened once while I've been avoiding carrying the eye bone when disconnecting since I reported it, so it does seem related to the eyebone.

Edit: If I had to guess, it might not be the eyebone specifically, and instead just related to items that drop upon disconnecting to the server. I could also try and test to see if it crashes with other items, too, such as glommer's flower, star-sky, or the celestial orb, if that'd help.

Edit 2: I just had it crash without the eyebone in my inventory, thiough I couldn't see any details, because it was night and I didn't have a light source

Unrelated, this also happened briefly to me, though not under the circumstances they mentioned in the following comment. I just had disconnected and reconnected, and it happened. when I left and came back again, it had fixed itself. This only just happened, so I do not know if it's repeatable.

I am not familliar with code or modding, and as such there's a good chance I might have missed something. I suppose I might be able to copy the world folder and all the files in it, and maybe dm the files to you somehow? For now, I'm just avoiding disconnecting while carrying the eyebone.

Looking at the error log, it seems that the owner is referring to the backpack instead of the character.
Would it be possible to fix this?
