Report a translation problem
There are smaller creatures that definitely could work, like centipedes, spiders, dropwigs, long-legs... but those get less and less endearing as you go down the list. Noodleflies are cute, egg bugs are cute, but I don't know if anyone thinks spitter spiders are cute.
(Not gonna lie, though, centipedes would be pretty fun to play just because of how long and noodly they are, and they have a few really good unlockable skin options.)
Besides that, Yeeks are a good candidate. Cute, mobile, and they have unique movement. Plus, they already have call sounds.
