I have had this idea for a while and I want to see people's opinions. If anyone has any ideas on how to get the attention of someone associated with Rain Meadow please tell me. If someone associated sees this I would also like to know.

NOTE: You can change, remove, add, whatever to this idea as long as it keeps the basic premise of why I want a new game mode in the first place.

In Rain Meadow there are currently three modes: Meadow, Story, and Arena, but I have been wanting a mode about survival for a while, you might say that Story mode does that but it focuses to much on being like story mode. In Story mode everyone shares a food bar which is one of the main problems. I am thinking of a survival mode where everyone has to communicate like real animals meaning no chat or emotes, only body language like pointing and sounds like all animals do in Meadow Mode. There is also a big problem with everyone having to be in the same region. So here is my idea:

Communication:
Every mode has a different set of ways to communicate, in Meadow mode you can point, emote, and make a sound, in Story mode you can point and chat, and... I have never played Arena. In this mode communication would work like how animals communicate in real life, body language and sound. Slugcats would have pointing like usual but they could also have facial expression like they do in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ artwork for Rain World such as Survivors sad expression as they fall in the cut-scene at the beginning of the Survivors campaign. Personally I think more then that could be done, it would be fun to be able to properly hold spears in the air like scavs as slugcats as well as being able to point spears instead of whatever the wonky stuff that actually does happen if you try to point a spear. Making noise as a slugcat should work similar to the meow mod and actually take air and allow you to make that noise that slugcats make in Meadow for different amounts of time. Scavengers would have their noises as usual and the same pointing mechanics as slugcat but before you add a feature for their hand gestures they use at tolls consider that they can kind of already do that, all they need to do is be able to make different shapes with their hand, the motions don't need to be coded in. There would also be a tribe feature that could be called different things for lizards and stuff. The leader of the group would change depending on who is the oldest lasting member by default but they leader could also give it to someone else if they except or if the whole group agrees to replace them with another member. You would only be able ask to join or invite people to a tribe if you are in the same room as them, they won't appear at all if they are somewhere else. Those in your tribe and their leader would be labeled, doi. Being in the same tribe doesn't enable friendly fire. The cool thing about being an orange lizard is that regularly in Rain World one orange lizard in a group would be selected as the leader and that leader supposedly acts as the main hub for communication that if killed, every other one loses their ability to do this. Yes this is a real thing. The leader of a group of orange lizards would become this leading to an interesting dynamic where they would need to select a leader that will not die easily. Note that it would make sense if only the same creatures can be part of a group. Orange lizard communication wouldn't work like you think. In Rain World they don't actually communicate like you would expect but instead they sort of can sense what each other sense. This being sight, hearing, feeling, and even pain. Good luck making that work.

Special Scavenger Stuff:

Everything the scavengers have built would be gone, tolls, the throne in Metropolis, etc. Storerooms would also be empty. Instead scavengers would be able to build their lanterns on sticks and raindeer skulls on stick through some type of construction system requiring gathering items. It should be visible to all scavengers in the same group as a project and the group can vote to cancel construction o anything and vote to build something if they want. I can already imagine scavengers being as annoying as they are to a new player by building tolls in very unconventional places. I don't think there would be any rulers of the scavengers despite there being a scavenger king, the king seems to just be a high reputation scav. There should also be no trade system, instead it should be common knowledge that you can trade, maybe even implied, the big question is how would you imply you want to trade and not gift? I don't know how that would be done but something needs to be done about it. That last thing wasn't exactly scavenger related but it seemed like a good time to mention it. Here is a list of things that could be built off the top of my head: Lantern Pole, Raindeer Skull (Tolls wouldn't be a set up feature either, but these would probably still be used to represent a toll.), Throne, I somehow cannot remember anything more.

Gameplay:

Everyone would have their own food bars most importantly. If someone dies they sadly have to wait out the rest of the cycle or if everyone somehow dies. In Rain World there is a point where the rain kills everything by passing through all terrain. When this happens all shelters will now close automatically, even if people are moving. Something like this would have to be done for electricity, blizzards, and sand storms so this can happen in every region. Players can sleep before the end of the cycle if they want to but they will have to wait out thew rest of the cycle. Those who are in a location that doesn't have a weather event will instead be forced to sleep wherever they are already and will wake up where they slept. Every player will also be able to be in any region at any time meaning that every player does not have to be in the same region. This is important because every player should be able to play as every creature from Meadow Mode(, even if you cannot get this to be in this mode and you can only play as slugcats, I would still like this to be a feature,), and since this is survival mode players playing as creatures higher up on the food chain means you could eat other players lower on the food chain, well, you could still be friendly if you want. For creatures like lizards you would have to drag them back to a den which is basically any one of those transporter things that don't go anywhere like a any lizard would have to do. I think this could lead to players being on edge about survival due to the fact that the other creatures cannot be easily tricked anymore but this is an ecosystem where that should be the case, I think it would even be interesting and fun(, I have even actually played a game about this before on Roblox and it was actually very fun to be a creature in an ecosystem made of players, and it wasn't Evolve or any of it's copies but something else instead). Also this could lead to interesting teamwork dynamics with your own kind. You could even try to tame a lizard by giving enough food to a hostile lizard that the player behind the lizard thinks it is worth it. There would absolutely still be non-player characters of every creature but the slugcats for the reason that there would obviously not be enough players to account for every single creature. You could even introduce slugcat npcs if you feel they are left out. The reason all of this matters to the fact that players could be in separate regions is because you would not be able to get every creature to work together to go through a gate.
