I would say stats disscusions are started to try and come up with ideas and improve them. Im one of the people that try to explain how this weapon would work if it was in game and if it would be useful and think about not everyone can come up with perfect stats so some might be op i mean can you come up with stats that are good fair and dont replace a weapon and are actually useful or work with any setup... if you cna for everysingle weapon you come across then that would be insane but extreamly unlikely. And the reason some might be extreamly complicated is that some people dont want weapon to have basic stats like +20% attack damage -10% attack speed i mean if that was made for every single weapon ingame then that would remove one of the things about tf2. The unique weapons. And some people might make another stats disscussion so that they dont sink into a crowd of people talking mainly about one stat that was made and everyone follows it. And if you say everything here that i said is wrong. Well this is what I see not you.

Movement Speed: -25%

I know that weapons should have a stat discussion, but not so many. I also did not mean to say that all of them are pointless, just that some are rediculous.

How can it have an alternate attack with a shield? Alternate attacks are used by the right mouse, which is used for charging.

That would cause you to attack while charging, ending the charge prematurely, making it useless.

So .... just dont equip the shield to avoid one of the downsides, why not give people a reason to equip shield to have this downside like +20% shield damage?

There's already a shield with a +Charge Impact Damage gimick. I think it's going to be a while until we get another new shield.

Well thats what happens when people see the word stats as a title they dont bother reading the rest (some of them) and as i said the reason there are so many is because your ideas will be drowned by people saying your copying someone and you didnt see because of the 200 comments posted and some people pay no attention look at the first page then post stats so your ideas are not read.

The ignorance of some people amazes me, how fast they are to post something as soon as they see the word "stat" is awful. I honestly wish I could just delete those comments.
