🔨 FUTURE FEATURES
Just a peek into my internal to-do list, minus most bugfixes and minor things.
Appearance in this list is not a guarantee it can or will be implemented.

FEATURES
  • Allow player customization of bot behaviour. (Settings, sliders, etc.)

COMMANDERS
  • Handcrafted bases? (To counter terrible positions, especially the Obs.)
  • Expand use of alerts.
  • Some form of communication. (Text chat? Notification popup? AI Voice?!)
  • Alternate team strategies instead of the same strategy every round.
  • Map-specific strategies: take advantage of interesting locations.
ALL BOTS
  • Fix the many cases of bouncing between two objectives.
  • Remove cases where the bots cheat, i.e. map-wide knowledge.
  • Improve general pathfinding.
  • :welder:Support for vents.
  • Obstacle traversal: ability to hop small objects instead of pathing around.
  • :welder:Stuck recovery: give bots valid paths out of common stuck positions.
  • Experiment with allowing bots to abandon the navmesh.
  • Rework aiming system to be corrective and remove intentional misses.

MARINE COMMANDER
  • Fix accidental deletion of medpack/ammo request.
  • Integrate ARC system with offensive phase gates.
  • Could build the ARCs next to the phase gate instead.
  • Beacon sensitivty tuning.
MARINES
  • Improve target prioritization.
  • Fix cases where enemies are sometimes ignored.
  • Coordinated weapon selection.
  • Better reaction to Gorge Clogs.
  • Cyst before Harvester, always.
  • Optimal shotgun range awareness.
  • Less suicidal grenade launchers.
  • Appropriate use of axe. (Save ammo vs. buildings etc.)
  • Weapon coordination with the team. (Not too many of one type.)
  • Improved mine placement.
  • Modified (more defensive) behaviours with grenade launchers.
  • Send and recognize weld requests from other marines.

ALIEN COMMANDER
  • Expand use of Nutrient Mist.
  • Jumping out of the hive?!
  • Expand offensive tunnels to be even more dynamic.
  • Try to get new tunnels up faster.
  • Whip movement.
  • Shift construction.
  • Support Drifters and use of Drifter skills.
  • Use of building abilities. (Crag / Shade and others.)
ALIENS
  • Vent detection - know when a human marine is cheesing.
  • Support for manual move orders.
SKULKS
  • More ambush, less banzai.
  • Better use of parasite.
  • Don't attempt to close huge distances - avoid certain death.
  • Fix getting stuck on tunnels placed on stairs.
GORGES
  • Creative use of Clogs. (Jumping on things, ladders into vents.)
  • Better support for an Onos, take more risks to save an Onos.
  • Bile bombing marines when appropriate.
LERKS
  • Allow attaching to walls / ceiling.
FADES
  • :welder:Improve accuracy, bot Fades are too easily dodged.
  • :welder:Allow attacking buildings once Stab is researched.
  • Allow vertical Blink to throw off marines.
ONOS
  • Sometimes ignores tunnels when retreating, running across the map.
  • Detection for Beacon? Defensive positioning when a Beacon happens.
  • Backwards retreat with Bone Shield where appropriate.
