TWR Examples of Engines
Using propeller I measured how much static thrust engines produce in order balance Thrust to Weight Ratio (TWR) of differet types of engines (diesel, jet, steam..etc) using this test stand: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2732688766
I set 20 RPS for diesel engines which is a middle ground between fuel efficiency and high power output.

Steam Engine example
Steam engine with firebox, boiler, turbine, condenser and radiator. Thrust produced by rotor (light) and few gearboxes. RPS does not matter.
Thrust: 18800 mass
Stock mass: 1480
Reworked mass: 13480

Stock TWR: 12.7
Reworked TWR: 1.4

Prefab (Medium) Diesel Engine example
Rotor (light), running at 20 RPS controlled by rotor collective, throttle is at full.
Stock Thrust: 10500 mass
Reworked Thrust: 5180 mass
Stock mass: 130 (with radiator, piping, propeller)
Reworked mass: 965 (with radiator, piping, propeller)

Stock TWR: 80
Reworked TWR: 5.4

Modular (1x1) Diesel Engine example
Supercharged 4-cylinder, Rotor (light), running at 20 RPS controlled by rotor collective, throttle is at full.
Thrust: 3850 mass
Stock mass: 80 (with radiator, pumps, piping, propeller)
Reworked mass: 500 (with radiator, pumps, piping, propeller)

Stock TWR: 48
Reworked TWR: 7.7

Comparing to real life examples, we should look at helicopters, not airplanes because in SW bigger blades do not produce more lift.
Cessna 172 engine has TWR of 2.
Bell H-13 Sioux engine has TWR of 8 - 10.

Jet Engine example
Jet engine with medium turbine powered ducted fan, throttle is at full. RPS is not controlled in real time but with 3:1 gearbox, it was 23.8 RPS which is close to diesel examples.
Stock Thrust: 33200 mass
Reworked Thrust: 38500 mass (because of improved ducted fan efficiency)
Stock mass: 100 (with fan, piping)
Reworked mass: 1810 (with fan, piping)

Stock TWR: 332
Reworked TWR: 21

Liquid Fuel Rocket examples
Stock TWR / Reworked TWR:
Small LF rocket: 157 / 21
Medium LF rocket: 375 / 22.5
Large LF rocket: 731 / 23.4

Solid Rocket Booster examples
Stock TWR / Reworked TWR:
Small SRB: 500 / 208
Medium SRB: 1120 / 56
Large SRB: 2000 / 60
Huge SRB: 2412 / 67
