I haven't gotten any feedback from anyone relating to this yet, but on a couple playthroughs, I -swear- I've had the game restart the map on death even though the infinite lives option was selected.

If this has happened to you, please reply. Trying to brute-force test the issue today has been unsuccessful, so I need to be sure that it is actually happening.
