filtering slurs and generally bad words
they have no real use for such mod, other than people attacking eachother

solution: have another mode. have a more censored mode for people who just want to talk about ferrets and base ideas.

quite frankly, i don't want to think about the outside world whilst playing a video game. it just makes me lose hope in humanity.

While I would agree that swears and slurs ought to be censored, I tried to say "I hope you haven't forgotten" as a message and it got marked as such.

Maybe re-tune the filter before anything else.

The simplest solution would likely just be to have client-side filters, I do hope the current censorship gets fixed to have less false-positives though.

Word "Specific" is bad word but you can say ♥♥♥♥♥. Filter not work I guess.

Damn, Aspect became a government official? Considering that's what Freedom of Speech covers.

I wanted to allow freedom of speech while also ensuring people generally feel comfortable and safe, hence the filtering still allows echoes to be made and viewed, they're just hidden by default. I feel like that's a good middle-point to be on.

That being said, I need to rework the filter, as it hits a lot of false positives. Although this won't be an issue if I go through with the voting system that someone suggested.
Make a client-side filter that people can edit. Not everyone needs false-positives or wants to play in a safe bubble.

The false positives are being worked on.
If you don't want to play in a safe bubble, just disable the filter. There's an option for it already.
