Support Goods - Suggestions and Feedback
Feel free to leave any ideas, suggestions, feedback (whether positive or negative), or constructive criticism. If you hate the mod then at-least tell us why, if you like it then feel free to leave any thoughts about the mod you had :spiffo:

If you would like to leave a suggestion, please know that we don’t add any items to the mod that have no use or is not relevant to survival/gameplay. For example, we will never add baby diapers or tampons, but we will surely add paper production or a military police helmet.

Here are some good suggestions as an example:-
- Military Police Helmet!
- Beeswax!
- Making Jam! (Strawberry, berry, grape, etc)
- Paper Production

Bad Ideas:-
- Baby diaper
- Tampons
- Heroin (No hard drugs)

I suggest for any boonie hats added by your mod to add the "wear on back" functionality of this amazing OG B41 mod:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2994557690

If you're bold enough, you could add it for helmets too!
I feel like brainstorming some ideas, so here's an unorganized word vomit of stuff:

-Bear Traps (Pls I beg of you)

-Condoms? (Idk the thought just popped into my mind for no reason)

-One of those goofy bullet loader things you see nowadays.

-A child's coffin as a two handed heavy melee weapon? (Again idk why this came to mind)

-Pitfall/Foxhole Construction Kit

-A super ultra rare infinite olde timey bottle of Milk for no reason. For gameplay purposes....

-Military Contraband Container(s).

-Manually Operated Turrets, with assembly kits/tools. (The working APC machine gun stuff from the mod author who made the APC mod comes to mind as an existing example)

-Experimental Military Fishing Rod. (IRL about a decade back there was that weird plastic fishing rifle thing advertised for kids. Basically a pneumatic cannon/fishing pole hybrid. Can't remember the name but it was a thing here in the US when I was younger)

-More hunting vests and apparel?

-Crack?

-One of those extendable mirror things that IRL SWAT teams use to look underneath closed doors into rooms. In-game it could be used to basically check the amount of zombies in a singular room.

-Hand Mirrors as a functional tool allowing players to peek around a corner without revealing themselves.

-This is a far stretch but what about functioning fire hoses? It'd be pretty cool to just hook one up to a fire hydrant to put out/battle a raging inferno!

-Tripwire for tripping/crippling zombies. They already have a falling over animation for being shoved from behind that y'all could reuse for it!

-Rocket Launcher/RPG/Bazooka.

-Mortar Tube/Mortars?

-More crosses. Like an altar server's big cross that is used to lead processions during mass; But in PZ as either a two handed long blunt weapon or a spear (Maybe a hybrid with the function to swap between long blunt or spear mode?). There was once in B41 a mod that added a small handheld cross as a weak short blunt weapon. Just an idea to add more substance to Churches since there's so many in the vanilla map.

-Dynamite.

-Civil War Era Cannons. Ultra rare of course. Would add another thing to do being able to blacksmith some cannon balls lol.

-A Bulletproof Fedora.

-Baskets that can be equipped as a backpack. My late Grandma use to use one while foraging for berries when she was a kid. :>

-A limousine?

-Deployable Military Barricades, ranging from handheld portable ones to generator heavy multi tile barricades.

-Ballistic Shields. In-Game it just adds a lot of protection, ideally for whichever side of the body it is equipped to. Maybe allow the shields to boost shoving range, knockback, and power while boosting stomp damage. Maybe even add considerable damage to shoves?

Okay I'll stop. >-<

Hello. Please notice that we don’t ever add any items that have no actual in-game use or value. For example, the player has no use for body spray/deodorant.

Here are some good suggestions as an example:-
- Military Police Helmet!
- Beeswax!
- Making Jam! (Strawberry, berry, grape, etc)
- Paper Production

Bad Ideas:-
- Baby diaper
- Tampons
- Heroin (No hard drugs)

But, a few of the ideas posted above are good. We will be discussing which ideas to accept.

By the way @Banzaikoowaid I literally made a full sets for every camo, that includes hunting haha, So all camo (9 different camo types, both vanilla and new) clothes now have; beanie, parka, hoodie, t-shirt, trousers, baseball cap, vest cover, helmet cover, jacket, shirt, and more. They are craft-able too.

I wanna debate that the items that serves no real purpose for using such as the mentioned items above are meant to for trading and bartering items and it perfectly makes sense in a post-apocalyptic setting as no one will produce them which makes them valuable for trading as ive thought theres gonna be a caravan trading system they would categorize as misc items.
Athens111  [developer] 2 Mar @ 3:46am
@Zekiel There are alot of trades that are possible. Almost all of them with bulk goods from both vanilla and this mod. To be exact, there are 125 trade recipes (both buy and sell) that includes almost all vanilla and this mod's bulk goods. I have no problem with your ideas. But, we have a policy to not add anything that wouldn't have a use for the player. For example, do you have any use for a box of lip balm or teeth whitening or nail clippers? You can't use any of those things on your zomboid character. We'd rather add useful items that we then add to the trade system rather than add useless items for the trade system. This is to ensure our mod remains high quality :spiffo:

And in my experience in PZ (1800 hours) I hate mods that flood my containers with useless items that I can/would never use.

Also some of your ideas are already included;-
- Toothbrush Multipack (Toothpaste pack with a toothbrush gift), meant for dental hygiene mod lovers
- Cheap Smokes, Menthols & Cigars (We have gold, blue cigarettes and brown mini-cigars. We might add menthols and very rare cuban cigars to the future)
- Jug of Homemade Whiskey & other alcohol suggestions (You can literally brew 7 different alcohols at 4 quality levels now. Please read the guide of the mod, that includes whiskey :steamhappy:)
- Case of toilet paper (There is now a box of toilet paper tablets that can be converted to both tissues and toilet paper)

Some ideas that I really like:-
- Booze filled chocolate
- Jar of Cocoa Butter
- Other alcohol (Bourbon, Tequila, Scotch)
- Hand-warmer

ahhh i understand, for some reason im the complete opposite when it comes to mods that adds alot of items and clutters i really like mods that adds clutter imo but again thank you for considering some of my ideas and i really like your mod its something that i wouldnt remove in my modlist, cheers!
brother try changing the item icon texture (if you got time or free/spare time)

they look kinda ugly (Most of them and i didnt look at the others)

make them a little vanilla friendly
also

idea: make a separate mod with having computer related stuff only mod
The trading portion should be a sub mod, like a toggle able part of the mod, not it's whole own download I mean.
When I play PZ it's usually solo or with up to maybe 4 friends and the whole point of the game is to scavenge and survive and trading mods have always made the game way too easy. Haven't been able to test your trading bit so can't speak on it's "fairness", having some hard drive corruption issues but I already typed all of this hunk of junk text box so figured I'd keep it around.

Also gotta side with Zekiel just a little bit, I love when mods add useful stuff alongside some non useful stuff. In my personal experience (you listed your playtime so why not, my 2400 hours) Waste management is a good side aspect of the apocalypse. One of my favorite mods was that Littering mod. And then when mods include an MRE meal, and you eat it and you get the empty MRE packet back, it's just such a fun miniature part of the game. But maybe like a scrap box item that gives you random bits and bobs of metal/jewelry/etcetera. Or hell, even a junk box item that includes, you guessed it, junk items.
Also, deodorant and stuff like that could be tied into that Lifestyles mod if you were so inclined to that. And if you were into that, maybe a personal hygiene/ portable bathing kit that allows you to clean yourself on the go (could also be useful with mods like that "Dirtiness Sickness" mod)

@drshahramanvariazar

@Smiley Face Killer

Please know that the mod is semi-moduled. You can turn off literally any part of the mod you don't like through sandbox settings. The mod will be moduled when its fully stable to ensure that it fully works together. For now, you can literally turn off any thing you want. There are 19 settings in the new update to modify however you want. You can turn off spawning for the satellite phone to prevent trading, turn off all computer loot, etc. So your suggestions have already been implemented. :spiffo:

As for icons, please tell me which ones you'd like changed.

Hello. Is it possible to make ingame standard desktop computers work with your cool mod? Like a laptop function, but a computer? Play games from floppy disks, read books, print books, etc. Because at the moment it's just furniture to disassemble..

For example, how it is implemented in this mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2635550102
Athens111  [developer] 4 Mar @ 4:24pm
@Starman I can make a new computer item, but using the in-game computer won't work because our computer system is recipe-based. Using the tiles/furniture for the in-game computer would literally require a new lua-intensive (very hard to program) mod similar to the many other computer mods with their own UIs and such.

As said, I can introduce new computers that you can find such as the Macintosh Classic II or other computers, that would be very easy to add actually, all it'd require is simply modifications of recipes and a new 3D model. They would be 3D like the laptops, have a keyboard, and etc.

If there is interest displayed for this then sure, I'd be willing to put the time in to add new computer models.

Quick and simple suggestion/request: Perhaps something like a hand-crank battery charger (essential for 10 years later). Do what you will with this suggestion. Keep up the great work on this awesome mod!
