Island Adventures - Core
This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important

F.A.Q.
Q: What's this mod's purpose?
A: Island Adventures - Core is a shared mod between our Shipwrecked and future Hamlet mod. Core's purpose is to store all the shared assets that are used in both DLCs (ex: items, characters, mechanics, sounds, and way way more!)

Q: Can this be used without Shipwrecked or Hamlet?
A: Yes! If you'd like to include IA-Core in your game you can enjoy features such as the SW Characters, SW Boats, some SW craftables, SW/Ham Crops, the Palm Tree Oasis, and more! Think of it as IA-Lite in a sense.

Q: Why was GemCore replaced with this?
A: GemCore's features that IA relied on in the past have since been incorporated into the game itself thanks to our old pal Zarklord. The only feature we still used prior to our newest update was the system for Alt Recipes, which has since been replaced with a world-based crafting system; so the items that need a modified crafting recipe will have one set recipe depending on if you're in a DST, SW, or Ham world.

Q: Why are you making a Hamlet mod when others already exist?
A: While there are some Hamlet mods that exist out there like Above The Clouds made by some very talented people, we simply have different design philosophies that don't allow us to collaborate.
ATC rolls back key DST features such as Skill Trees and RWYS Farming, while we would much rather incorporate this into the gameplay. We also plan to have fully functional Worldhopping between DST, SW, and Ham. ATC's focus is geared more towards improving the gameplay of just Hamlet.

Q: Where's Hamlet?
A: Coming at a later date! Keep up to date on development via our Discord!

This is AWESOME!! :D
Do you plan on making it so we can select our starting world?
This would be excellent since in a triple combined world starting in hamlets a huge QOL just because the funny hamlet timer is a serious obstacle.

You can currently change your starter world based on which DLC you decide to make your master shard :) This'll set it for everyone in the game, not just yourself.
But having an in-game button to select your world during character selection would be great!
Is it possible with this mod to build and use e.g. a log raft in the base DST world?
Because rowing a regular DST boat feels like an express ticket to carpal tunnel syndrome lol

Edit: Found it, had to enable the boats in the world settings first.
Now this is a mod i was waiting for like forever, thanks alot

At the moment, when I started the world, there was a message, that tells, that I should to disable some bug/lag mod for better boat movement. Well, I tried, but now, as I dont remember which mod that was (I dont even know, that I have it), all DST has some sort of delay before any in-game action. If somebody, by any chance know, which mod Core is requesting to disable, please tell me it's name. Thank you.

Hi! What you're talking about is not a mod, it's an in-game setting titled "Lag Compensation". We recommend it be disabled to enjoy IA, but you can always turn it back on to "Predictive" yourself.
