Really cool indeed, I will maybe use this as an opportunity to say what things i already have planned, a bit more indepth than whats in the description.

  • Working lab props - you will be able to use them to experiment on the blackhole, im planning in making a veryyy simple chemistry system so you can make materials that make the blackhole behave in different ways

  • Blackhole merging / Blackhole to blackhole N-Body simulation, Currently blackholes dont interact with one another which i know is a real bummer. Its just hard to implement efficiently, I also plan on adding gravity waves when 2 blackholes orbit eachother eventually colliding.

  • I also have alot of visual changes planned such as Supernovas when a blackhole dies, a short visual effect for when blackholes spawn and some other minor things like sun flares for the fire blackholes and magnetar/pulsar effect for the electric one.

  • Controller tool for content creators, Stuff like settings paths which blackhole will follow, different boundry setters and other limiters. (on this one im open for feedback)

  • While i put all these ideas and promises out, its important to keep the mod rather optimized. I put optimization as a priority working on these complex features brings alot of issues to overcome and bugs to fix.
    And i will always out fixing already present features over adding new ones.

we need an option so that the black hole doesn't go beyond map bounds

I have an interesting idea. I'm calling it Object Friction cause idk what else
But basically it'll work like this, an object orbiting a black hole that goes through the accretion disk will lose energy and orbital momentum and thus fall into the black hole. I'd like to see this as sometimes the amount of objects orbiting a black hole is ridicilous. And would honestly be cool in general. Still love this mod though!

Technically this is in the mod, the "spacetime drag" option was originally intended to do what you just described but the way i implemented it was funky and wierd (It applies consistent drag in the opposite direction of a bodies velocity but its strength is dependent on how close to the blackhole it is, for some reason its inverted?) But i liked the results of it and kept it in after some different tweaks. I may implement it again as a different option but this time make actually work lmao. We will see how it goes.
you should add something that makes the accretion disc (dont know how to spell it) swirl into the black hole, instead of circling it eternally

also can there potentially a feature so the black hole doesn't go into the void when it gets off land?

make the bh draggable
patch the lag it makes pls it nearly crashes my game and one time it made me fall out of the map even if i go to a different map

Working on a controller tool, just finished the model and animations. I expect to finish it by monday but will probably release the update few days later so i can pack more options and requested features into it. Its a rather big update. literally adding like 10 new options (i finished 2 it being blackhole not crossing map bounds and blackhole not falling into the void) and an entire tool.

The rest im working on is threshold limits for debris deleter, a function that makes the blackhole hover check for ceilings so it works in underground maps, also another one so it checks around itself allowing it to avoid static walls, a new accesibility tab with options to disable light flashes and adjust volumes and other such things (here i will need feedback). Another drag option so stuff doesnt swirl the blackhole infinitely.
