Could you (realistically) slightly buff axis military quality? They can maybe be given event-triggered buffs too.
I still feel like Germany and other Axis states, playing alone or spectating the AI, win the wars mostly due to massive regiment numbers, not primarily because of better military tactics and tech like in history.
When the US steps into the war, most often the axis just gets slammed by US numbers, capitulating well before 1945. I want to see more struggle by the Allies fighting the Germans and the Japanese, true to how hard they were historically to beat. I also think the Soviet army should be slightly weaker (higher casualty count) to be more historical (8.7 - 10 million)
playing as Japan is REALLY challenging, definitely not for casual players. But i think thats good, since historically Japan's campaign wasnt smooth. But due to the game mechanics, the US arrives FAST with all their military might. No island hopping, just straight to Tokyo LOL. In contrast, China is soo weak. I dont know if this can be balanced further, but at least Japan has to be somewhat tougher, but China not so weak.
thanks a lot!!
Thank you for feedback! German already has stronger armies because they have some technologies (e.g. medium tanks) that other countries don't have. But I think I will make this difference more noticeable in next update. As for Japan, I can make their troops bigger, but I don`t think that it is possible to make sea-islands war more realistic, because aoh3 doesn't have navy mechanics
