bugs ive found
I've got a couple random little bugs ive found whilst playing again, first the unimportant stuff that doesnt make any real difference,
1. i've found that my espadachins often switch to holding an invisible arquebus while idling randomly, they still behave like normal otherwise
2. the Cavalleros a pe have a wako pirate flagbearer with a normal portuguese flag
3. the portuguese crossbowman's officer has an arquebus but then uses it just like the crossbow
4. all teppo ashigaru use european sideswords/rapiers instead of katanas, idk whether thats intentional or not
5. I still have the problem of portuguese generals not getting their skill tree stat buffs, though im gonna assume its something on my end at this point
6. Im not sure if any other japanese spearman do this but the portuguese long yari ashigaru, Japones de pique, have their stabbing animations broken while in a formation, pike square or yari wall, they still stab and behave like they should its just the animation that doesnt play

Now for the big issue i ran into, This is an issue that I only ran into once I started playing this mod, All firearm units in the game (so far that ive used including teppo ashigaru/samurai and the full range of portuguese guns) will bug out when an enemy comes into range sometimes without issueing a shoot command. From what ive seen it seems to happen when a unit comes into range but there is something in the way of the unit shooting, like another unit or a hill, then half the troops in the unit will shimmy a half step forward then a half step back repeatedly, causing the game to think everyone isnt in formation and stopping them from shooting. sometimes they will fix themselves once the unit is unobstructed and othertimes they will just get charged without firing a shot. I often have to make the unit move up a step or give a manual fire command to fix it. It forces alot of extra unnecessary micro that can cause way more casualties for me than normal especially when you have alot of firearms.

Ugh these are really frustrating because I feel like I will be answering these same questions as long as I am doing the mod. "Hey this doesnt work" "shrug I have no idea man reinstall everything" except forrrreeevvveeeerrrrr.

man what did i do to my game to have everything broken, ill try a fresh install of everything

I dont know how these weird things happen! I think it is because of how the workshop is compiling and uncompiling the pack files on the back end (when I update it doesnt upload the whole pack file, only the changes I've made).

Oh and for the matchlock units not shooting...I know what you mean but dont think that is something I can fix on my end.

something new i just had happen, im assuming this is a bug, on turn like 3 playing as chosokabe and i attack the motoyama. But the motoyama, who have an empty building slot and just a fort, has a garrison consisting of half japanese troops and half portuguese, including a halbardier and a teppo kumi, the bigger garrisons make sense as a recent update but not the portuguese units
