Oda game: Cant trade from ports

I started an Oda game to really delve into Japanese unit balance and see how them having Pikewall plays, and I've noticed something weird:

It says my "home province ports are full" but Owari has no port. So I cant trade via sea. Is that just a problem for any faction that starts with a landlocked capitol!?!?

OH I figured it out, duh. But I will leave this up for anybody who sees the same problem: you need a land route to your nearest Port...Oda is blocked off by Hatchisuki and Nissin if you take Mikawa.

Derp. But I am glad nothing is broke.
