Balance Suggestions and Wishes
UPDATE: MY LIST GOT DEMOLISHED! The creator really cares, and thanks to the new update, I'm going to need some time to figure out new limits, but it feels very good to play rn.
So I deleted previous suggestions. But if you still find something new/weird/unbalanced or want to wish for something, feel free to add to the list.
(Keep in mind that every suggestion is also a lot of work, so if you like it, please support the creator!!!)


My Balance Suggestions/ Wishlist (Please note that I am NOT top tier at the game, but I enjoy finding combos and love the pixel artstyle of the game.)

!!!So this list is not meant to be balanced around vanilla characters!!!
(because I don't use them much)
Please keep in mind that I am writing this with no ill intent and only want to start a discussion around balancing. Please support the creator!!!:steamthumbsup:


1. Clotho Mode Phase trough: This attack is by far the best stance switch because of Twister access and combo into ravenous charger. However, if you are too close, you will just phase through the enemy; thus, you need careful positioning, making it more demanding than it needs to be.

--Suggestion: give us a slider to choose how far the attack dashes, or start the hitbox at the beginning of the move! As of right now, feinting the attack in close combat is useless because the opponent knows it's either going to phase through or I'm going to stand still, which results in him just doing either a wide-range attack to catch me, a quick stab or a guard break mixup to shut me down.




----some minor suggestions and wishes:


--Give Fangs of Derion an adjustable range slider or an air option. It's the coolest attack, but the initial grab hitbox feels very weird?

--Make Shoot: Ahead omni-directional so it can catch opponents in the air?

I honestly don't care about most balance stuff – I think it's fun enough right now. But I do agree that the atomic dash would be more fun if it were a separate super move or at least faster to channel. Also, the railgun backblast is really annoying, and you can't do much after using it, and no attack connects. Most other characters can combo off of one hit, but since the backblast kills the combo, it just puts Nicole at a disadvantage against everybody else when using it. Quench is way too slow even if it had 10 frames. There should be more conversion attacks that consume a charge and turn into stock so you can build up meter while comboing. I don't even know if that mechanic is good to begin with. While we are charging and stocking up, everybody else sets up traps, teleports or shoots while putting themselves in a better position. I really like the Fade dodge, and it would be cool if we could change between gaining stock or doing an attack/dashing behind the enemy like Emerls Flashstep.

But I agree at least with some points, especially the time for Quench. But if it's too fast, it becomes unbalanced, so I would prefer hyper armour and just take the damage if the opponent closes in to punish.

The Atom Step channel is far too slow, and I don't get the point. Why does it vanish when I am getting hit? It should stay active in order to keep my opponent from closing in or to stop their combo by exploding, basically a self-destruction emergency burst.

The Evil Sun should be homing, or we should be able to change direction, considering the 4 super cost.

The Clotho mode switch in the air should hit grounded opponents and needs directional sliders in order to hit after attacks like jump kick.

Reduce ravenous charger knockback and railgun mode switch knockback to enable more follow-up attacks.

And one last thing.Maybe make Rend its own super or make a toggle option like the backstep for attacks so we can teleport behind opponents and combo into Hellhound and vice versa.:smilechillet:

Cerberus seems like an insanely good neutral tool, beats anything slower than 5 frames and while it isn't Vile Grasp levels of range, it sure does easily interrupt both characters with projectiles or even stances (god forbid Spellblade try and activate a rune from like 8 character widths away)

Just a question for developer(s), does the damage modifier being %120 really necessary in your opinion?

honestly not that sure about it
I do not know what other players think but I believe its okay to have it %100, or if you really want to give him some disadvantage %5-%10 could work in my opinion.
The only ones having %120 or more are InklessBrush characters as far as I know and they have tools to compensate greater than Nicola has(Vixen Instakill or Miko choosing it to lower exc.)

That is planned for all the Arcanum Front characters, just havent got the time to making them
