The Pitbull was a prototype weapon, made by RayTec for the Union army. However the army found it too unreliable, and went with the BULLDOG, by DefTec. RayTec did not lose hope there Pitbull design, and still saw hope with it, in its much more modular design. Eventual, in 2016 the Union saw what the Federation was doing with the RK-15 and wanted there own version. RayTec was poised to take the lead in this, and won the contract of 15 million. The Pitbull entered service almost at once, and soldiers loved its reliability. It first saw combat during the 2023 invasion of Silvereye,getting the Federation involved on the side of Silvereye, and starting a global war that would last until 2036.
