however, we did get some grenade items in the jarate and mad milk respectively. I'll leave to valve to come up with a way to make that work. But i wont waste the, however little chance i have for this idea go to in by not making this item at all.
Another factor that helped in this creation is the fact that the scout already has the animation and gameplay mechanic of throwing stuff at people or an area. It just needs a good solid effect and restriction and it should be fine.
You have 2 grenade slots, and both are 4 max regardless of grenade type. So 8 grenades total. And you can quick throw that.
Yes that is quite unbalanced.
What I suggest is power vs capacity. Strong stuff gets 2 max, unlike the weaker stuff.
So as an example instead of TFC 4 frag grenades you would have TF2 2 frag grenades.
Also the grenades and mines and the like which are more utility based but weaker in damage there is more of them.
These smoke grenades would be the utility grenades.
Although it is far more likely to be a TF2 Source 2 thing.
