There is already a mod that does that (it's called employ landless adventurer), but maybe you could cooperate with that mod.
You mentioned rulers and their councils—perhaps we could try to sow discord between any two individuals, goading one to challenge the other to a duel or even inciting two rulers to wage war against each other. In Chinese history, we have plenty of such cunning strategies, often referred to as “sowing discord”(离间计)or “pitting the tiger against the wolf.” (驱虎吞狼)
Additionally, marriage is a crucial diplomatic tool in the game. Eloping is a particularly useful scheme—I often use it when playing as an adventurer. However, when I want my heir to marry a highborn lady for a strategic alliance, I find myself limited. Could we add a way to encourage a family member (like an heir) to elope with a noble lady from a prominent house, similar to Paris of Troy running off with Helen, haha! Of course, our mischievous goal would be to produce an heir with claims or to secure a prestigious bloodline. Whether the family member is willing, or how the noble lady’s father reacts, would be something worth considering.
On the topic of tarnishing reputations, I have some ideas as well. Beyond simply reducing someone’s fame, it would be more impactful to lure a target into committing a sin, creating a secret. Then, similar to the game’s existing scheme mechanics for fabricating hooks, we could choose to keep the hook for leverage or expose the secret for maximum effect.
I know my ideas are a bit bold and might not be easy to implement, but we could give them a try—maybe we can make some of them work, even if just partially.
Kudos and praise for your amazing work!
