Difficulty selection / editable max wave size?
I've been playing with my friend and the amount of AI it spawns makes our server lag alot, and it would also be very fun to have something like an max AI hardcap, or hard/easy mode. I know that the softcap exist, that does NOT solve the problem, as the size of the waves it self is the problem.

Ah, so you want a hard-cap, not a soft-cap.
Well, maybe we'll look into it, but no promises. You need to be playing for a long time for wave sizes to get big.
Also, try to make sure you're playing on an optimized map (not a huge one) and have multicore rendering on.

I believe we were playing on only the recommended maps, and the main thing was internet lag, instead of system lag. I will say, looking back, most of the problem was on my end (or my friend's end, when they hosted) because our internet just isn't that good, i guess. Plus, we didn't ever play for that long, usually getting thru either the first or second objective. The games we actually did win were fun tho. Really, the problem was that combined with the large amount of enemies that it was throwing at us, making it sort of not that fun due to the difficulty of it with the lag. So, basically, not really your fault looking back on it, but you could add things to help similar problems from arising for others in the future.

We've implemented some NPC lag compensation in recent updates, it's not a 100% solution but it's still something that eases the lag a little bit. Hope this helps. If not we'll look into making options for smaller waves, but then again, this always could be bad connection/poor internet. It is best to test the addon on some larger multiplayer servers (SHG or CFC for instance) and see if the lag's still there.

Alright, i'll try to remember to try it again later today. I do still hope some sort of option that changes the actual size of the waves itself makes it in as some sort of difficulty selector some time later down the line, but for now that should substitute.

Safe to say that it's alot better! Thank you, Mereki.
