Ravencrest Castle
I do not expect anything Pandor. But feel free to take inspiration as you like.
I wanted to create a charming castle that would fit well into a medieval fantasy setting with dragons, elves, wizards, and knights in shining armor. I wanted one that was a formidable fortress, but also a luxuriant palace, very much like a refurbished castle from the high middle ages.So I was going to go for a castle with conical roofs, and hoardings, along with the usual crenelated curtain walls. The parts finished here only includes the keep, but I have much more than that planned. I am hoping to add all the things a fun castle aught to include, like; a retractable draw bridge, a throne room, a library, an alchemy/occult lab, secret passage ways, an underground dungeon, and a cave exit to the water below. Probably covered over with a waterfall and or ivy leaves. And all that will be in the keep. The rest of the island will house a garrison, a chapel and everything else a typical castle should include. The surrounding area will include a quicklime and timber fishing village nestled among the pines as well as some outlying farms.
My castle was mostly made from Nemedian building kit and its expansion kit, but also includes a lot of parts from Dudes Delightfull Decorations Construction hammer mod, and Erebus Gothic Architecture, and AG Architecture most notably. I'm including many more mods for decoration and landscaping.
An earlier version from the back side
I actually wrote a story that takes place in this castle, although the setting was vaguely different. Behind the castle the lake spreads out farther and there are very steep mountainous granite cliffs with multiple waterfalls that feed into the lake. You would be able to see this through the back windows and up in the main tower. The Donjon, that is.
The place looks grand when its fair weather. But I must admit that when it rains the place makes you want to curl up in the library with some sorcerous grimoire and read it to the sound of the storm pitter-pattering on the roof. I like libraries and scary old books about magic.
