Help with compiling, please
I'm trying to use this to run the SNES UGC. I downloaded it from dropbox, then popped it in the editor, when I try to publish local, I get a Content Pack Validation Failed message. Content Pack Validation for [long path] failed with 38 error(s).

A bunch of File not Found messages. What am I doing wrong?

i dont know. this used to work... as what i heard ... maybe there was changes to the editor. i dont have any real experience with drm-free stuff i just make props and maps eh

Can you confirm that if you download what is on Drop Box, you can publish for local with your editor? That might be a starting place.

@oilstain so i checked by 'validate content pack dependencies' in the editor - which usually finds any faults due to editor changes, re-uploaded the .rar file to dropbox and updated the link in the UGC description.

so at this point id confidently say that this definitely works for SNES Reboot on Steam.

the rest would be guesses - as i said ive never tried using a non-DRM copy so i dont really know how that works - - maybe 'publish locally' isnt how it works? maybe just reinstall everything? maybe the DRM-free isnt the same updated version of DFDC? or maybe theres some hardware glitch on your pc? Really hope you get this working .. its a fun mod :D

Thanks, I'll keep trying. Might be a day or two until I get a chance. If anyone else is running this non-DRM style, can you chime in on how you got it working?

I had the exact same issue trying to compile the dropbox version in the editor. Here's my simple workaround:

1) Use the Steam Workshop downloader website (http://steamworkshopdownloader.com/) to download the SNES Reboot Alpha and Geeked Content Pack by pasting in their Steam URLs (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=317632217 and https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=354883827)

2) Copy the folders from within the both .ZIP files (the ones that start with the long GUIDs, e.g. "51a9844d633461e82400002a-SNES Tenth Street Demo" & "522538f63733611810008015-geeked") to %dragonfall_root%\Dragonfall_Data\StreamingAssets\ContentPacks\

3) Start Dragonfall, start a new game and pick SNES Reboot!

4) Pour yourself a drink and celebrate a job well done! :)

The file errors come from the editor not being setup to locate the core HBS files. (Seattle Pack and Berlin)

This is the link to setup your copy of the editor... if interested. The Steam downloader does seem to be a worry free-ish workaround though.
