SOLVED: Server failing to run
Hi,
Trying to start the server and it will not properly start stating the following:

[8:20:27 AM] dmultiplayersrv 1.6.0.0
[8:20:27 AM] Client version required to join: 0.6.0
[8:20:27 AM] Loading settings...
[8:20:28 AM] Starting server...
[8:20:28 AM] Failed to check for updates.
[8:20:28 AM] Running startup macro...
[8:20:28 AM] Ready!
[8:20:28 AM] Failed to get your public IP.
[8:20:28 AM] Registered server.
[8:20:28 AM] Registered server.

how can i fix this so that i can start my local server

I don't really understand the problem here.
Could you join your server?
Can you tell me problems you encounter?

are you using the good port ? 1337 or 3966
When you say you can't join the server it means with the machine which host (localhost) or with public ip?
Do you have an error message with the client or only being disconnect because you can't connect?
if it's doesn't work on the host computer try to disable firewall and antivirus. if it's work add rules to allow GDTMP server or port being used. Remember to restart each one after :)

Ive been using the port 3966. Ive tried both my network ip and using localhost. The client only says that it cant connect to the server. ive already disabled my firewall and antivirus that did not work. just trying to get it so myself and my roommate can play on the server together locally and i can not get the server to work.

do you run the server with the graphic interface or the command console?
The mod of your client version is up to date?
Have you tried to disable all mods client side except GDTMP and his dependencies?
Do you run the server with administrator privileges?

i got it to work must use port 1337
